This species of tropical orchid blooms in the spring and fall with a solitary upside down flower. They are often grown on a slab of tree fern or cork, and given hot temperatures and good shade. This particular specimen is in a large terra cotta pot filled with moss. The large size is quite rare. Keep the moss damp and you'll have happy orchids!
