This plant has to be kept very dry in the winter. If you over water this plant, it will let you know in a hurry that you have done something wrong by yellowing leaves, which will soon fall off. It also likes it cooler than most in the winter. In the summer, you can step up the watering a little bit, and it will enjoy the warmth and humidity.

Please note:

There seems to be some controversy over whether Hoya globulosa and Hoya villosa are one in the same. Christine Burton seems to think that they are. I try to stay away from controversies, but my H. villosa leaves have rippled edges and H. globulosa does not. I doubt that I will ever see blooms on my villosa as it just does not do that well for me.
