The plant originated in Colombia hence the name, can also be Philodendron Sp. Silver. The leaves are beautiful, they have this bluish hint to them which makes them silver looking. These are a crawling philodendron which means they tend to stay close to the pot and do not require a pole to gain the large leaves.
It is a bit unclear to me if Philodendron sp. Colombia and Philodendron sp. Colombia ‘Silver’ are actually different plants/species/cultivars or if ones designated Silver are just…. more silver in color. But to me the difference was pronounced enough to make two categories on the website. Both versions are GORGEOUS plants, you can’t do wrong!
Care: These are very hardly plants and adapt to both cold and warm climates really well. They do like to be watered a little more than your usual philodendron, so don’t let these dry out between waterings if you want to have constant growth. They are not picky about the humidity what so ever, they thrive here in our moist humid jungle climate but have also thrived in my customers homes with average humidity.
