An unobtainable and coveted rarity for many, many years, the Philodendron spiritu-sancti has finally become more available and affordable due to tissue culture production. This plant, however, is a cutting from a seed grown individual, and sold to us by a private collector.
Mature spiritu-sancti boast dark, elongated leaves with pointed lobes. The mature form is truly a sight to behold. Our understanding is that these plants are not particularly difficult to grow, as long as you understand their desire for bright, gentle light and humidity above 50%. Allow the plant to approach dry between waterings. Feed regularly with an organic or higher nitrogen fertilizer.
