If you only have one Calathea in your life, it should be this one. Although Calathea have a (somewhat unfair, in my opinion) reputation for being high-maintenance, I have found this variety to be easy-breezy. It is low light tolerant, pet-safe, and wants to be kept on the moist side but will tolerate drying out somewhat. Like all Calathea / Maranta it definitely prefers higher humidity and, if possible, distilled water... but I have found this variety is more tolerant than others if those specific needs are not met.
