Mammillaria compressa, also known as Globe Cactus is a flowering cactus native to Mexico. Spines from this plant have traditionally been used as fishhooks in Mexico! This species is planted in rock gardens but can also be cultivated easily as a houseplant. It grows best in full sun indoors. Water sparingly.
Although we have labeled this plant as "pet safe," that is due to its being non toxic if ingested. Please note that these cacti have serious spikes that can easily puncture flesh.
