Hydnophytum formicarum is one of the nicest looking ant plants (also know as Myrmecophytes). These unique plants form a large caudex that provides shelter and food for ants in return for pollination, pest control, and fertilizer. Although they have a mutualistic relationship in the wild where both parties benefit, they dont’t attract ants to your home and don’t require them to survive! Simply fertilize your ant plant when you water it and it will grow big for you.
