Originally from Esmeraldas in Ecuador, the Philodendron esmeraldense is known for its broad and elongated heart-shaped leaves. Bright gentle light is optimal for this plant. No direct hot sun should stay on the leaves for more than an hour or two or the leaves may burn! Allow your potting mix to dry slightly between waterings. Fertilize with a balanced or nitrogen heavy fertilizer anytime you see new growth for best results!
