Romantic, ethereal, gorgeous - this is one plant that lives up to the hype. Delicate pink, white, and green hearts overflow from the pot and cascade down up to twelve feet long. Growing a variegated string of hearts is easy too, provided that you give it the conditions it wants:
- Very bright light. Hanging from your sunniest window is ideal. The more light this plant gets the faster it will grow, the bushier the growth will be, and the pink-er the hearts will turn in color. Light is your best friend when growing this plant.
- Water sparingly. Allow the soil to sit completely dry for up to a week before watering thoroughly.
- I prefer to pot my String of Hearts in terra cotta, usually with a rocky soil or succulent mix, to help give the plant a very quick soak and dry cycle, which is what it wants.
