Stromanthe Triostar is a gorgeous tropical perennial in the Prayer Plant family, like Calathea or Maranta. It likes higher humidity, distilled water, and lower light. The plant’s short stems support leaves that are six to twelve inches long, making for a peacock-like display in its pot. There’s an enormous variety of leaf variegation: No two plants—or even two leaves—are exactly the same. The leaves fold up at night, which helps them conserve precious raindrops back home.
The Triostar likes medium to low light and burns easily in direct sunlight. Keep soil lightly moist at all times. It commonly reaches two or three feet high and wide. It does well in normal household temperatures and has limited cold tolerance.
