Mimosa pudica (Sensitive Plant)

Sensitive Plant (Mimosa pudica) responds to touch and other stimulation by rapidly closing its leaves and drooping. Native to South and Central America, the plant is a widespread weed in tropical regions and has naturalized elsewhere in warm areas. It is commonly grown as a curiosity in greenhouses. 

This plant wants to be consistently wet and humid, and so makes a great terrarium plant! If not in a terrarium, keep the soil of this plant consistently moist. Give typical houseplant light - dappled shade or bright gentle all day light is perfect.
