Begonia listada is a very attractive begonia species from Brazil. The chocolate brown leaves are pointed on both ends and have a wide light green band down the center. The whole leaf is covered with short hairs and it is red on the under side. This shrub-like species has a compact growth habit. The flowers are white and add interest when in bloom. As a species, this begonia requires high humidity (at or above 65%) and is typically grown in a terrarium/enclosure/very near a humidifier; prefers to have soil on the dry side.
Care of Begonia listada:
Shade to partial shade, temp. 50 to 90 degrees, 8 to 10 ins. tall, allow to get mostly dry before watering.
Family: Begoniaceae
