These beautiful mini rose bushes are the perfect gift for someone you love (and that can be yourself, by the way)!  Our red varieties are beautifully variegated, while our pink varieties have a classic rose scent!

Here are some basic care tips to keep your mini roses thriving all year:

  1. Lighting: Miniature roses need about 4-6 hours of sunlight daily. If you’re growing them indoors, a south-facing window is ideal. Direct sun is needed. Outdoors, they should be planted in a spot that receives ample morning sunlight and partial afternoon shade to protect them from intense heat.

  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moistened, but not soggy. Water them deeply but infrequently, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Overhead watering should be avoided to prevent leaf diseases.

  3. Soil and Planting: Use well-draining soil rich in organic matter. For potted miniature roses, use a quality potting mix specifically designed for roses or general use. Make sure the pot has adequate drainage holes.

  4. Fertilization: Feed miniature roses with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer designed for roses. Begin fertilizing in early spring and continue every 4-6 weeks through the growing season, stopping about 6 weeks before your area’s first frost date.

  5. Pruning: Prune miniature roses in the late winter or early spring to remove dead or diseased branches and to shape the plant. Throughout the blooming season, deadhead regularly to encourage more blooms.

  6. Pest and Disease Management: Keep an eye out for common rose pests like aphids and spider mites, especially when grown indoors. Use insecticidal soaps or neem oil as a safe treatment. Prevent fungal diseases by ensuring good air circulation around the plants and by watering at the base rather than overhead.

  7. Winter Care: If your miniature roses are planted outdoors, they may need protection in winter. Use mulch to cover the base and consider wrapping them with burlap in regions with harsh winter conditions.
