Strawberry begonia or Saxifraga stolonifera is a decorative plant that thrives in any home and potentially any climate. It is not actually in the Begonia family! But it is a close relative, and it does flower.
The name “stolonifera” means bearing runners. The long, hanging stems produce a handful of runners to propagate and grow new plants. It is very similar to a Spider Plant in that way! We recommend hanging them in baskets to display their babies :)
The less common variegated version of this plant blushes a candy-cane pink that truly pops! Imagine how beautiful a large hanging basket of this gorgeous plant would be in your home or garden!
