About Swirski Ulti-Mites

Use for:
Young larvae of various thrips species and eggs and larvae of whitefly.  Swirski are generalist predators and will also feed on pollen and spider mites.

How it works:

Predatory mites multiply in the sachet and disperse onto your plants over a period of 4-6 weeks. Swirski ulit-mites kill pests by piercing prey with their sucking mouthparts and sucking out the contents.

Specs:

Each sachet contains 250 predatory mites.  We recommend distributing one sachet per medium sized plant for best protection. For larger plants you can use 2-3 sachets. For small plants, one sachet will cover 3-4 plants.

Directions:
Hang sachets in sheltered locations on your plants, away from hot, direct sunlight
Sachets already have an exit hole - you do not need to pierce the sachet
Hold sachets by the cardboard strip at the top, to avoid damaging the predatory mites

Environmental Conditions
Amblyseius swirskii
is most effective at temperatures between 20 and 32°C (68 and 90°F). It is not effective at temperatures below 18°C/64°F. Amblyseius swirskii is sensitive to relative humidity below 60%. They will still function, but they will not reproduce below that humidity.

Other mites:
Can be combined with Orius spp. and whitefly parasitoids. Do not combine with other generalist predatory mites (Neoseiulus cucumeris, Amblydromalus limonicus, Transeius montdorensis, Amblyseius andersoni).  Swirskii ulti-mites can be combined with predatory nematodes to eliminate pupating thrips larvae in the soil as well as fungus gnats and other soil pests.

Excellent

These little guys are great! Noticeably less bugs around the apartment and hopefully they’ll stay away for a while. Would buy again!
