Alocasia need bright filtered light to really thrive. They will naturally shift their foliage orientation towards the strongest source of light. Sometimes, if an Alocasia leaves look like they are 'bowing' or the foliage is making an 'umbrella' shape this can be an indicator that it is not getting enough light. In general, they will like to dry out roughly 2"-3" from the top of the soil it is rooted in. This may be roughly every 10-12 days depending on your home environment. When repotting, use a semi-coarse soil that will drain water well.
