Adiantum caudatum (Walking Maidenhair Fern)

Adiantum caudatum, or Walking Maidenhair Fern, is similar to the classic Adiantum aethiopicum, but this one is known for its fronds rooting at the tips, creating a "walking" effect.

One of the most beautiful houseplants available, Maidenhair ferns can also some of the most demanding. They require high humidity and plenty of water at the root zone. They like bright gentle light, so an Eastern facing window or the interior of a sunny room is ideal.  Do not let your Maidenhair fern dry out or it will crisp up like a raisin!
