Alcantarea imperialis A9S

Considered one of the most spectacular bromeliads in the world, Alcantarea imperialis 'A9S' (or simply A. imperialis) is a massive, slow-growing terrestrial bromeliad from Brazil, known for its huge, 5-foot-wide, leathery, and often burgundy-undersided leaves. It produces a 6–10 foot tall red flower spike after 10-15 years, is low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and thrives in full sun.
