Alocasia cucullata (Buddha's Hand Taro)

Alocasia cucullata is one of the friendliest, most forgiving members of the Alocasia family. Native to Southeast Asia, it’s often associated with good luck and prosperity—hence its common nickname “Buddha’s Hand.”

Unlike many dramatic (and sometimes fussy) Alocasias, this one is reliable, fast-growing, and very adaptable, making it a great entry point into the genus.
