Aloe plicatilis (Fan aloe)

Aloe plicatilis is a sculptural South African aloe known for its unusual fan-shaped growth habit, with flat, blue-green leaves arranged in elegant opposing rows atop branching woody stems. Slow growing and architectural, it develops into a striking small tree over time and thrives in bright gentle light with excellent drainage. Its coral-orange flowers appear in winter to early spring and attract pollinators outdoors in mild climates.

Grows very well outside in San Francisco and all over the Bay Area!
