Begonia amphioxus is an exotic begonia with a shrub-like growth habit. The leaves are lance shaped and pointed at both ends. The large maroon spots on the narrow green leaves give it an “other worldly” appearance. The flowers are green and have an unusual shape but not very showy. This species needs extra humidity and is usually grown in a terrarium.
Care of Begonia amphioxus:
Shade to partial shade, good under florescent lights, temp. 50 to 85 degrees, allow getting slightly dry between watering, likes extra humidity, does best in an enclosed container.

She and her sister are thriving in their respective bell jars. I love how prehistoric looking they look.
Wasn't a single leaf when it arrived. I'm not even that far away. Shipping took forever. I doubt I can save the plant.
Hi Whitney! Sorry to hear about your experience. In the future you are welcome to reach out to us - if you can document that a plant has arrived in poor condition we will happily rectify the situation with a replacement plant.
Super cute, excited to see it grow. Well packaged.
