Fragrant Bursera is an interesting deciduous succulent know for its ability to be bonsai’d as well as having a very citrus like fragrance when foliage is crushed. This plant is also known to form a very chunky trunk which some collectors find very attractive.
Bursera wants full sun and a well draining soil, make sure to not allow this plant to dry out completely or have this plant sitting in any standing water. A low nutrient content fertilizer is best for this species as over fertilization may cause legginess or fertilizer burn.
While Bursera are very cold hardy they will have a dormancy period in the winter, cut back on your watering and keep in a temperature stable environment.

I would highly recommend The Plant Lady SF. I haven’t been in the shop, but I hope to check it out one day. I did place an order on their website. Bought several plants and they were all beautiful, very healthy and packed well. I also reached out to the owner and she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions. I ‘ll be checking out their website out regularly since I live in Palm Springs.
