Domino Cactus (Echinopsis subdenuata)

This compact, nearly spineless cactus produces flowers that can be larger than the plant itself. The giant, fragrant flowers open at night and may last only until the following day. Watching a rapidly developing bud culminate in a one-night bloom makes flowering feel like a genuine occasion.

Water thoroughly then allow to completely dry. Give very bright light - direct sun is fine, both indoors and outdoors. Can be grown outside or inside in Bay Area climate.
