GT Silica

GT Silica is a concentrated potassium silicate supplement formulated to help plants grow stronger, sturdier, and more resilient. Silica reinforces plant cell walls, supporting robust stems and leaves while helping plants tolerate environmental stresses such as heat, dryness, and inconsistent growing conditions.

Especially useful for tropical foliage plants, aroids, Hoyas, orchids, and prized variegated plants, GT Silica can be used alongside GT Foliage Focus or another complete fertilizer. It is suitable for plants grown in traditional potting mixes, semi-hydro, or hydroponic systems.

How to use in potting mix:

1. Add 2 to 3 mL of GT Silica per liter of plain water, approximately ½ teaspoon per quart.
2. Stir thoroughly and allow the solution to rest for 15 minutes.
3. Add your regular fertilizer, mix again, and allow it to rest for another 15 minutes.
4. Test and adjust the final solution to a pH of 5.5 to 6.5 if needed.

Always add GT Silica to plain water before adding fertilizer. Because potassium silicate is highly alkaline, adding products in the wrong order can cause cloudiness, pH spikes, or nutrients to precipitate out of solution.

Store in a cool, dark place and keep out of reach of children and pets.
