Hoya linearis breaks the mold of the typical wax plant. Instead of thick, rigid leaves, it grows delicate, velvety-soft foliage along long, trailing stems that drape beautifully from hanging baskets or cascade off shelves. Native to the cool, forested slopes of the Himalayas, this species brings a softer, more relaxed look to the Hoya genus—almost like a living string of pine needles, but infinitely more charming.

When mature and happy, Hoya linearis produces clusters of white, star-shaped flowers with a citrusy fragrance. The blooms contrast beautifully with the fine foliage, making it an unexpected showstopper. It’s particularly well-loved for its unusual texture, soft-to-the-touch leaves, and flowing, cloudlike growth habit.

This species prefers bright, indirect light and moderate watering—more frequent than most Hoyas due to its thinner leaves, but still with a well-draining mix. It's more tolerant of cool temperatures than many tropical Hoyas but still appreciates warmth and humidity for the best performance.

Hoya linearis has been hard to find for the last few years!! Very excited to have some in stock to share with the Plant Lady community :)
