This is one of the most forgiving and rewarding Hoyas out there, perfect for beginners and collectors alike.

Light: Bright gentle light is ideal. Can tolerate some direct morning sun but protect from harsh afternoon rays.
Temperature: Thrives in indoor temps (60–85°F). Avoid cold drafts and protect from temps below 50°F.
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity (50–70%) but adapts well to household conditions.
Water: Allow the top inch or two of soil to dry before watering. Water thoroughly, then allow excess to drain.
Potting mix: Well-draining mix with bark, perlite, and coco coir or peat. Avoid dense soils.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season with diluted orchid or houseplant fertilizer.

How to grow Hoya pubicalyx ‘Splash’ indoors:
Provide bright filtered light and a warm environment. Let the soil dry slightly between waterings. It vines quickly and benefits from a trellis or basket to sprawl. This plant thrives slightly rootbound and will bloom when mature and well-cared for. Use distilled or filtered water if your tap water is hard—San Francisco’s Hetch Hetchy water is usually safe.

How to grow Hoya pubicalyx ‘Splash’ outdoors in the Bay Area:
Outdoors, this plant does well in sheltered, frost-free areas with bright gentle light—such as patios or covered balconies. Protect from wind, frost, and full afternoon sun. Bring indoors when temperatures drop below 50°F.

Pet safe: Yes (based on ASPCA guidelines)
Difficulty: Easy. Fast-growing, forgiving, and blooms generously when mature.
