These mounted Neoregelia bromeliads bring the lush beauty of the rainforest canopy into your home. Grown epiphytically—just as they would in the wild—each one is affixed to a piece of natural wood, allowing its vivid rosette and bold, often variegated foliage to take center stage.
Unlike many flowering houseplants, Neoregelia don’t rely on blooms for their impact. Their dramatic coloration—ranging from electric pinks and deep reds to tiger-stripe patterns—radiates from the center of each leaf rosette, especially when grown in bright light. When they do bloom, the flowers are subtle and nestled low in the cup, letting the leaves remain the stars of the show.
Care Guide
-
Light: Bright, indirect light enhances leaf color. Can tolerate some gentle morning sun.
-
Water: Fill the central cup (“tank”) with fresh, non-chlorinated water. Empty and refresh weekly. Mist the roots regularly to keep the mounted base from drying out completely.
-
Humidity: Thrives in 50–70% humidity. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or near a humidifier.
-
Temperature: Keep in a warm environment—ideally 65–85°F. Not frost-tolerant.
-
Mounting Notes: These are epiphytes and do not need soil. Mist the wood base 2–3 times a week or soak it briefly in water if it begins to dry out.
Why We Love It
Mounted Neoregelia offer a sculptural, living art experience. Their compact form, kaleidoscopic foliage, and unique root-on-wood presentation make them perfect for vertical walls, hanging displays, or as stand-alone accent pieces. Every one is a living reminder of how beautifully adaptable nature can be.
