Pinguicula 'Johanna'

Pinguicula 'Johanna' is a Mexican butterwort hybrid with purple flowers and leaves that turn a deep reddish pink in strong light. It's also quite dewey, giving it a sparkling appearance. It's a cross between Pinguicula agnata and Pinguicula debbertiana.

Plants will be ready to take home in late February. We can also ship pinguiculas bare root.

Provide plenty of bright light. A sunny windowsill is great. Under grow lights is fantastic.

Keep pinguiculas in a tray or saucer full of water at all times, about 1 inch deep. If you live in San Francisco or the East Bay you can use tap water. Everywhere else, consider using distilled water.

Fertilizing is not necessary. Pinguicula will catch gnats and get its nutrients that way! If fertilizing is desired, use a very diluted, low nitrogen foliar spray.
